MONTHLY RATE

- Electric Water Heating
Installed 240 volt, 30 gal or greater, storage type water heater of not
greater than 5.5 kilowatts, individual rated capacity, first 500 kWh billed
at regular energy charge of $0.07230, next 500 kWh billed at $0.0525/kWh.
All additional kWh used billed at $0.07230
- All Electric Space Heating
Permanently installed space heating equipment, aggregate rated capacity of 3
kW or more, excluding bathroom heaters, October through April first 500 kWh
will be billed at $0.07230/ kWh and all additional kWh will be billed at
$0.04/ kWh
A combination all-electric space and water heating, October through April
will be billed at $0.07230, next 500 kWh at $0.0525/kWh, all additional kWh
at $0.04/kWh
- Add-on Heat Pumps
Permanently installed heat pump as primary heat source for residence in
conjunction with
gas or oil fired furnace for extreme cold weather back-up, October through
April, first 500 kWh billed at $0.07230 all additional kWh billed at
$0.04/kWh
Combination heat pump/water heating October through April first 500 kWh
$0.07230/kWh, next 500 kWh at $0.0525/kWh, all additional at $0.04/kWh
TAX ADJUSTMENT
All applicable tax will be levied on the above rates.
ADDITIONAL MINIMUM CHARGES
Consumers requiring more than 10 KVA transformer capacity shall be charged
an additional $1.50 per KVA transformer capacity in excess of 10 KVA for which
power usage will be allowed at current rate. This charge is in addition to the
monthly service charge of $9.00
IDLE SERVICE RATE
Consumers classified residential rate schedule may retain existing electric
facilities, excluding transformers, on their premises by paying $6.00 per
billing period.
FUEL AND PURCHASED POWER COST ADJUSTMENT
The Cooperative shall, if the purchased power expense is increased or
decreased above or below the base purchased power cost of $0.041265/kWh sold,
flow through to the users such increases or decreases, in accordance with NMPRC
No. 550
TERMS OF PAYMENT
Charges per billing period are net, and due and payable within twenty (20)
day from the billing date.
BUDGET BILLING
Upon request of the consumer and for his convenience, the Cooperative will
provide budget billing in accordance with the rules and regulations filed by the
Cooperative and approved by the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission –
Utility Division.
CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
- The Cooperative’s rules and regulations, filed with the regulatory body
shall apply.
- All wiring, pole lines and other electrical equipment located on the
load side of the metering point shall be considered the distribution system
of the consumer and shall be furnished and maintained by the consumer.
- The consumer’s installation shall conform to the city, state and
national electrical codes and electric safety codes.
- Consumer shall not resell or share electric service with others.
- Special conditions of service shall be covered by contract.
COST ADJUSTMENT
Rates are subject to change (increase or decrease) if current debt cost
changes. Governed by NMPRC Rule No. 540.11

TAX ADJUSTMENT
All applicable tax will be levied on the above rates.
MINIMUM ANNUAL CHARGES
$11.00 per horsepower but not less than $110 for single-phase service not
less than $165 for three-phase service. Payment of the annual minimum charge
shall entitle the consumer in all cases to kWh energy usage corresponding to the
annual charge.
Fuel and purchased power cost adjustment charges will not be levied on annual
minimum charges.
HORSEPOWER FORMULA
The horse power for minimum annual charge shall be the motor manufacturer’s
nameplate rating of horsepower output. If the Cooperative elects, horsepower
shall be determined by actual measurements of power input during a period of
maximum normal use, less an allowance of ten percent (10%) of input for motor
losses.
IDLE SERVICE
Consumers classified under this rate schedule may retain existing electric
facilities, excluding transformers, on their premises by paying $8.00 each
billing period.
Minimum annual charges would not be levied on idle service.
TERMS OF PAYMENT
The charges per billing period are net and payable within twenty (20) days
from the billing date.
SERVICE CHARGE
A service charge of one and one-half percent (1 ˝%) per billing period or
fraction thereof will be charged on all utility service bills and invoices not
paid in twenty (20) days following current billing period.
FUEL AND PURCHASED POWER COST ADJUSTMENT
Purchased power expense is $0.041265/kWh, if expenses increase or decrease,
fluctuation will be passed along to users in accordance with NMPRC Rule 550
CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
- The Cooperative’s rules and regulations filed with the regulatory body

Billing under this schedule may be increased or decreased by the change in
current debt cost utilized in establishing the present rates in accordance with
NMPRC Rule No. 540.11
